New driveway in Ashlar Cut Stone pattern installed in Bramhall!

Planet Surfacing recently installed a brand-new pattern imprinted concrete driveway at a house in the Bramhall area of Stockport. As you can see from the photographs, the new driveway in Bramhall was across part of the front of the house providing space for parking and access to the front door and garage.

From the range of different patterns to choose from our clients opted for Ashlar Cut Stone for their new driveway in Bramhall. The Ashlar pattern is a popular choice as it lends itself nicely to different styles and ages of houses. With its riven effect it blends colours really well too. In this instance our clients chose to have it coloured in Steadman Buff with Mahogany release. You can see the stunning results from the photographs included. While some patterns are more popular than others, because there is such a massive range of pattern and colour combinations you are still likely to have a concrete driveway that is bespoke to you.

Although our clients didn’t initially choose it, we recommended having an acid stain around the edge of the concrete driveway which we did free of charge. Because the driveway didn’t cover a particularly large area, the edging created added interest and definition which again you can see from the photographs. It was also a nice contrast between the main driveway and the garden.

You can rest assured that when we install a new driveway in Bramhall we will always adhere to the rules and regulations around this. That’s because at Planet Surfacing, we are familiar with council requirements. On this occasion an Aco drainage system was fitted along the front of the driveway to make it Suds compliant. Suds stands for sustainable urban drainage system. This ensures that surface water is able to drain away into the natural ground or is directed into an installed soak away. Why is it important that this kind of drainage system is installed? Because it can stop rain water from flowing directly into sewage systems and drainage networks which in times of heavy rainfall could overburden them. Instead it regulates the water flow a little better, gradually releasing rain water into the drainage system.

If you are thinking of having a new driveway in Bramhall, give Planet Surfacing a ring to find out more about pattern imprinted concrete driveways.
