New Driveway in Salford that Looks Great During the Day and After Dark!

Planet Surfacing recently installed a new driveway in Salford. As you can see from some of the photographs, the house was in a raised position overlooking the garden with the driveway cut into a recess next to the lawn and borders.

For their pattern imprinted concrete driveway in Salford our clients chose to have Royal Ashlar for the pattern, coloured in dove grey with a charcoal release. For added interest we also included blue highlights at various points across the driveway.

Installing the new driveway in Salford required following the gentle curve of the road as well as more angular lines along the back and sides of the driveway. The great thing with pattern imprinted concrete is that it can be laid to nicely fit into an area of any shape or size.

Along with laying the new driveway in Salford, we also landscaped the front of the house incorporating a series of steps leading to the house and a couple of steps to the front door as well as a pattern imprinted path, all of which were in the same colour and pattern as the driveway. This cohesively linked each section together. All the steps were hand tooled and shuttered. We also hand tooled the coping for effect.

In addition, the walls at the back and to the side of the pattern imprinted concrete driveway in Salford were rendered in Wallcrete in slate grey. We also applied Wallcrete to the vertical surface of the steps (the riser). It is our attention to little details like this that mean we always complete a professional job. We also added an acid stain to the borders which nicely defined them. As the final part of the process all of the pattern imprinted concrete was covered with an acrylic seal which includes anti slip agent.

As with every job that Planet Surfacing completes, we ensured that it was SUDS compliant and so included an ACOs drain and also incorporated two recessed man hole covers. Our client’s son in law is an electrician so we were happy to work with him to fit some wall lights that created a lovely focus after dark.
