New Rear Driveway and Patio in Wythenshawe

When you choose to have pattern imprinted concrete the options are endless and there are new patterns being introduced all the time. All are suitable for either a driveway or patio. With so much choice in colour and pattern you can have a driveway or patio that is bespoke to you.

But what If you can’t decide what pattern to have, then you could always combine two! That’s what our recent clients in the Peel Hall area of Wythenshawe in Manchester decided to do. They wanted a new patio along with a new rear driveway and path all at the back of the house.

In order to clearly define the patio from the driveway our clients opted for two different patterns which indicated the different purpose of the two areas. For the rear driveway they chose a classic option, London Cobble. London Cobble is one of the lighter printed cobble effects and due to its traditional design is suitable in most settings. The tiles are squarer in appearance and leave a much deeper definition. While this pattern looks great in different colours it is more suited to bolder, darker colours such as charcoal. Our clients chose classic grey. You can see what this colour and the pattern look like from the photographs included.

In addition, our clients chose to have the patio done in pacific board walk which creates a wood effect. The pattern is based on the American board walks or the wood that you see on seaside piers in the UK. This was coloured in platinum with charcoal release. Again, you can see the stunning results once the patio was laid from the photographs provided.

We finished the process by applying a mid-sheen seal. A grip system is always used to ensure a non-slip finish. The edging between the path and the fence was filled with gravel.
